A Foundation in Compassionate Care
I am a second-generation Nurse Practitioner with over 19 years of experience in the medical field. Growing up, I witnessed the power of compassionate, attentive care to transform lives. That foundation shaped my belief that meaningful health begins by honoring the connection between mind, body, and daily life.
Integrated Medical & Psychiatric Training
I am board-certified as both an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. This dual training allows me to integrate physical and mental health in a coordinated, thoughtful way.
I understand how medical conditions influence mood, how stress affects the body, and how emotional health shapes overall functioning. This perspective guides a steady, whole-person approach to care.
Experience with Older Adults & Dementia Care
For more than 15 years, I have worked closely with older adults, developing a deep understanding of the medical, emotional, and cognitive changes that accompany aging.
As a certified Dementia Care Specialist (CDCS), I support individuals living with memory loss and the families who care for them. My work centers on meeting each person where they are — honoring their history, strengths, and values while recognizing the essential role caregivers play.
In practice, I focus on:
• Supporting patients through physical, emotional, and behavioral changes with steadiness and compassion
• Helping families feel informed and more confident in navigating complex decisions
• Preserving dignity and quality of life at every stage
A Thoughtful Approach to Care
Psychiatric care should be individualized, unhurried, and grounded in relationship. Treatment should never feel rushed or impersonal.
I focus on helping individuals recognize how thoughts, daily habits, and intentional choices shape overall health. Small, sustainable steps — taken consistently — lead to greater balance, confidence, and lasting change.
Mental health is not separate from sleep, relationships, stress, environment, or purpose. When these areas are supported together, care becomes more stable and sustainable over time.
A Personalized Model of Practice
Adirondacks Family Wellness & Psychiatry is intentionally structured to care for a smaller number of patients. This allows for:
• Extended appointment times
• Direct, timely communication
• Consistent follow-up
• Individualized treatment planning
Our goal is not volume — it is depth.
This model allows psychiatry to be practiced in a way that is attentive, responsive, and relationship-centered.
We look forward to connecting with you.
Proudly serving individuals and families throughout the Adirondack and Hudson Valley regions.
